Knowledge will give you Power, but Character Respect. It is a  proverb which was said by the famous Hollywood actor Bruce Lee.  If you have got the knowledge you will be powerful.  Knowledge is the key to doing many things in the world. However, you cannot force anyone to respect you. By your character, you will be respected.

How will our character respect us? First, we should follow the golden principle, “give respect to gain respect." Respecting others is a good trait. We should respect teachers, parents, elders, and all others without any discrimination. Moreover, if you want others to respect you, you must be worthy of their respect. You cannot expect respect for your position or your qualifications.

Your good character makes you keep your head up with pride and honour. But, knowledge will not always give you respect.  Sometimes your knowledge may divert you to do something wrong. But your character won’t. Respect is something that you have to deserve to earn with your actions. Character gives you a life of honour and integrity.

In a nutshell, the character makes you respected by everyone, even by those who don’t like you and your knowledge.  People are ready to go an extra mile for the one whom they respect more.
